What’s a little rape between friends?

This is an ad from the 70s. I found it while I was paging through a Communication Arts Annual.
I can imagine it was pretty shocking at the time. It still is. But it is not one of those shocking ads for the sake of shocking. It’s driving a message that needs to be told. I wish I had results from this after it was published. I tried to search on the interwebs but found nothing.
South African stats also show that most people know their rapist in most cases. Women should not remain silent about this sort of thing.
Great ad. I’d love to see it now as a TV PSA.
….Not meaning to nitpick at your wording or anything, but rape in its many forms affects both women and men, so your message ought to include men who are raped to not remain silent.
Great way to send the message across. Wonder how much impact it made and how the message was received.
